And I agree that your views should not be censored. Censorship is WRONG. The point is, even if your posts are later taken down, does ANYONE get to ever see them?

Just because you say things other people might not want to hear, does not give them the right to silence you.

As in all things.......politics, religion, life.......people are silenced for their thoughts, views!!! noway

If their views are so "out there" that the people must be silenced, doesn't it tend to lend credence to the view?

I'd rather be shouted down than ignored.

There is no ignoring.......its being censored for having views other than their own!!! The thing is.......Ive lived in america......as well!!! Ive seen both sides of the coin!!! And have travelled alot.......Im open to new cultures and views.....yet censorship is prevalent!!!noway

I'm sure all countries have SOME degree of censorship, since those in power have things that they don't WANT heard.

Ha@@@!!! My words, my pics, everything has been censored on here!!!! I feel like Im in Russia!!!!

My opinions especially!!! I am not american!!! So I am not allowed to have views on political affairs.....apparantly I dont have a right!!!noway

Gypsy that is so much bs, I can not believe I am hearing it from you. You know damn good and well your Nationality has absolutely no factor in whether or not you can have an opinion on American politics. Yes, if you are not American, you can not vote, but you can still have your opinion, and when in America you can voice your opinion (as long as it is not bringing harm to someone by doing so).

Words only have power if you LET them have power.

Otherwise they don't really "mean" anything.

That's why you are saying that it doesn't matter if children hear cuss words?

Children are little sponges and absorb everything they hear and see. They don't "let" words have power. They observe and absorb and absorb and absorb.

We are their role models and should be doing right by them.

Gypsynoway noway noway

You aren't exactly telling the whole truth.
The time you are talking about the subject was illegal immigration. An internal American political topic not an international one.
You guys came into the conversation, which IMO you had no business, and started attacking Americans. Calling us and our views ignorant because we have different views than you all do on this internal American political problem.
You weren't the only ones who were suspended. Actually if you want to split it on Nationalities there were more Americans suspended that day than Canadians, Australians, and Europeans combined.
We all acted out, but some Americans were suspended for defending their opinion (National right) from name calling concerning their Nationality. ie, DA Americans, Ignorant Americans, racist Americans, etc.
I was suspended that day for telling one poster that has never even been in America that he would do better to worry about the way his country handled illegal immigration in his country than ours which he has no idea about. (that's exact wording)
I'm glad to hear they told y'all that, but I believe your taking it too literal. I have seen posts started on here about Canadian internal issues for instance. Very few Americans, hell very few Canadians/Europeans/Australians, got involved in the discussion. The Americans who did however, didn't call the Canadians/Europeans/Australians opinions stupid, assume they knew better and try to inject their opinions into Canadian/European/Australian internal affairs as if it were their inalienable right. Y'all do!
If the political situation is one of international concern then it is a different situation. Feel free! But, if it is one within our borders, concerning America and only America, I dont see where foreigners have the right to gang up, call Americans names and try to force your countrymen beliefs on us. Esp, when the immigration laws in y'alls countries are far stricter and less humane! If you do get involved then please reframe from name calling, be respectful, and realize that you dont really have a dog in the race!
I dont understand why Foreigners are so concerned with our internal politics when we could care less what theirs are until they infringe upon our rights. Our policies on immigration, homosexuality, etc have no bearing on the laws of Canada, England, The Netherlands, or Australia. Nor do y'alls internal policies have anything to do with ours.
The problem arises when y'all are not able to tell the difference.

Not entirely true. Unfortunately due to the closeness of the two nations American politics and lawmaking does have an effect on Canadian policies and laws.

I disagree!
Why would you say that?
As long as Americans obey Canadian law when in Canada and visa versa where's the harm?

Extraditing draft dodgers still wouldn't stop American policy /lawmaking from affecting ours. Though I do agree with you.

I note that you are from Florida. Now how much is generated in the Florida economy from Snowbirds going there? Take into account the properties owned w/ paid taxes , cash spent in the Florida economy, insurance on said properties etc.
