Time only exsist as a means of man to understand incremental portion's of life. There really is no such thing as time outside of our or other expierience, if that is true then why do we concern ourselves with it and make remark's meant to be heeded such as "never put off till tomorrow what you can do today" - if there is no "tomorrow" - then how are we putting anything off? if there is a tomorrow when does that begin? if you knew there was only now - then would you try to fit everything in now as you possibly could so that you would not have to worry about whether or not you might not be here "tomorrow"??
the use of "time" seem's to me to be useless outside of keeping track of things as to science and the like - in this life - wolud we not be better off just doing what we can or feel like doing and not giving thought to it? will it make a difference? is a time concept necessary to live our lives?

what is the meaning of - " a waste of time"???

how is it being wasted?

no it really isnt but we have to keep it for the sake of time itself i.e. time that must be accounted for on the basis of our daily activities.

I think making the most of time means different things to different people, and who am I to judge what you deem important to do with your time? I know someone who constantly judges others, calling them lazy or slackers because they choose to use their time differently than she does. I don't think of them that way - they just choose to do different things.
Maybe I'm a slacker for choosing to use some of my time on here! laugh

in the philosophical sense of waste of time it will make sense that the concept of waste of time does not make sense but surely there is more to life than philosophy, for example the waste of time in the sense of squandering the remaining of our years behind bars or prison rather due to a crime that could have been avoided but instead was committed and therefore allowed for the waste of time (years) in the natural sense.

I know time does not bother my cats. They don't know how old they are so they still act like kittens.
But, yet, they are on some kind of schedule not determined by time, but by the sky and seasons.

Agreed..............spoken in the tongue of an old soul, who knows no time....you speak

You are speaking of the higher realm of existence....and frankly in a world were all must be tangible to be comprehended, such are the words of wisdom, yes indeed. Yet......in a superficial world.....time is another creation of humanity to keep it in check........yes....but then were would you expect this, today’s, humanity to be.........without such measures? Lost would come to mind.

Time is simply an organizational tool for dating.

An example of it's useful application...

"Meet me at the restaurant at 7:30 tonight" for example, is more likely to actually happen, than, "Meet me at the pond whenever."

Note that the destination is now a pond, as no one at the restaurant is likely to show up for work.

In terms of wasting time, I would have to say, yes, time can be wasted when you're waiting at a pond for many moons for a date who has no concept of when you might be at said pond. Sounds pretty wasteful to me.

4 a: to spend or use carelessly : squander <waste valuable resources> b: to allow to be used inefficiently or become dissipated <a writer wasting her talent>

would your statement above definition be a real waste of time, if you had nothing to do anyway? is the term wasted time not meaning it's concidered a waste because you could have been doing something not wasteful? if your guy shows up and your not there is he wasted his time
also? would you feel it was not a waste of time if he did show up? is not then waste relative only to those who believe it is or has been a waste? or am i now wasting my time??

hahahaha - what is confusion really? not understanding something clearly? inability to decipher? not "getting it" ?? - or or the 52nd state of the union - "state of confusion" ?? if its the latter where is it located??laugh
