I got my first tattoo at 45. Have a butterfly on my lower leg. I love it and want to get one more. Not sure where I will put it, but I am planning on getting a new one. So go for it I say, it is lots of fun and it is also fun to have people comment on it.

Yes, sometimes I feel invisible, so hoping this will spice things up a bit...

I have full sleeves and a half back piece, and I must say I don't like the attention all the time. Didn't get a job once because when I shook hands at the end of the interview it peeked out of my shirt sleeve and a comment was made. It also sucks having to be caked in sunscreen and wearing long sleeves at the beach. Tattoos are far more accepted now than they used to be, but they still turn many off. You get stereotyped. Just be tasteful...no bleeding skulls or firey demons.

I got my first tatt on my 18th BDay, in boot camp. Since then, I've gotten 22 more-a few of them cover-ups,and aged 25 years. Learned one thing too late.. I was told never to get a lover's name. Mom's, and daughters are fine, but never a g/f or b/f..

My buddy Dave got his first on his 52nd BDay, I don't see anything wrong with a lass as young as yourself getting one too..
