Life is like a merry-go-round.
What goes around comes around.
Right when you think you are on solid ground.
You end up on the rebound.

You look at all the smiling faces.
They are willing to take chances.
They try to keep up there appearances.
Standing there in there places.

Life is not what we always want it to be.
Sometimes it brings you down on bended knees.
Looking up and saying would you please.
Do not play with my heart and just tease.

I gave you my heart.
But all you want to do is pull it apart.
Do you think it is just another body part?
I guess I was not so smart.

As I look back over the past.
At loves that have passed.
Some it seems came and went so fast.
Some I thought would actually last.

As I look for someone to stand by my side.
Someday they will see me for what is inside.
Until then I will take it all in stride.
And I will always keep my pride.

One of these days someone will look at me and say.
I have looked for someone like you every day.
I have finally found you right here in front of me today.
This love we have is defiantly here to stay.
