A world on the brink,
Our lives hang in the balance,
For soldier is our creed,
This life we pledge to the service of our country,
Now that country is calling,
An unknown foe has hurt her deeply,
The people shout for revenge,
We ready to take arms,
Awaiting the President to point his finger,
Long this battle may be,
Lives will be lost,
Ready are we to make this sacrifice,
If only to satisfy our lust for blood,
Away we will go,
Only to take life from those who have hurt us,
Time and history will tell our story,
May we go down as heroes or demons,
That shall lie in the eye of the beholder,
God save the United States,
And we, her protectors.
