Today I went for a walk.
It was around 6 O’clock.
I walked more than a block.
Think I put my body into shock.

I walked around the track.
Walked passed the bike rack.
That had a new bike painted black.
I keep walking never looking back.

There was a cool breeze.
It even blew the top of the trees.
I watched a runner go by with ease.
But it made me think oh my poor knees.

A slight breeze blew the hair from my face.
But I still keep my pace.
I was not trying to race.
There is a kid’s playground at this place.

As I walked I watched the kid’s play.
One little boy fell but he was okay.
It was a very nice day.
Watching the kid’s play as I walked there way.

I listened to the birds sing.
And watched the kids swing.
Soon it will be spring.
It will be a beautiful thing.

It might have taken me a while.
But I did it with style.
For some would say it was only a mile.
But when I finished I had a big ole smile.

time I have walked in a long time lol heck called and told my son hummmm
