you feel the need to rev up an engine a gazillion times before go anywhere? What IS it about that sound?!


The only time I do that is when I think I'm hearing something strange going on with my motor (misfiring, etc.), or if there's something else going on mechanically.

Other than that, I never do any random revvings, as that's just a waste of fuel and time that could be spent driving.

There are still people who believe in the antiquated "rev-it-harder," myth of engine maintenance and repair, they think they're loosening up junk in the system.

Hell, if you can't do that while you're driving...

Can you go out there and see how many decibels, make a noise complaint?
