Topic: Are you your parents?

I look back at how my parents were with me growing up. Now I see myself as them, the same loving, caring, and accepting great parents they were, I now am.... I thank them today for guiding me to be who I am...I wouldnt be me if it wasnt for them They are my true heroes Are you your parents? Better? Worse?

in some ways i am but in others i'm not because I am adopted.after finding my birthmother and talking to her we were so much alike personality wise it was scary.

My parents believed in spanking (whippings) and weren't ever really there. I think I am better than they were. None of my kids got spanked unless it was extreme, I take priveleges away. I spend as much time as I can with my kids, doing things with them, driving down the road, stereo up, singing at the top of our lungs. Yep, think I am better than they were by far.

the only thing i see is i get told alot i look a lot like my mom face hahaha......aand we are both babies in families

I think I am a little different than my parents although both good in our own ways. My dad didn't have the luxery of having a father (his father passed away when my dad was only 4) but he did the best he knew how to. I am definitely a better person for having them and I think they both did a great job. Just a few things I like to think I am doing better at.

I am better than my parents.. My father tried to molest me and my mother had a lot of mental problems..

as a kid i was tossed into a corner--then shortly a potato came flying over at my head--then i heard --"Take this cold potato and wait." I have tried to treat every child i have ever know, nicely.--very few nice days as i was growing up.
