I don't see the problem--their intelligence level really doesn't enter into it. They're not going to be as smart as I am, so why should I worry about it?

I won't deny that it's possible...after all, I've never met Marilyn Mach Mos Savant. Yet, if she were that intelligent, she wouldn't approach me in the first place.
You know what they say about the intellectually gifted? We have very poor social skills. |

You know what they say about the intellectually gifted? We have very poor social skills. Not all. Hmmm...but that could explain my child getting quieter in social situations as they grow older. But..on the other end is my charismatic father. "We have very poor social skills." That is not true of all the gifted people. Btw, I love Bradenton. I spent a couple of weeks there. |
