In my experience, it's more of a mutual (?) illusion/deception than a reality. I mean, people can convince themselves of anything -- but I have to be around someone and spend some time with that person. Until then, there's a sort of "unreality" to the whole scenario. Exactly...Lex..your perception is my reality as well sir.. Thanks, Jim! And, you know, I think I really did give it a fair shot -- three times in 2006 -- and all of them were, uh, pretty bad, when it got right down to it.... Not saying people can't make it work -- we have some here who met, and made it work, even though they were really far away -- I just don't see that as being a viable option for me. Or for a lot of other people. I was lucky, in that I was able to find someone compatible in real life.... And I wish all the LDRs the best of luck; it's just that I've seen it for myself a few times, and I have some grasp of the obstacles....
