those who know me will now how much i love my neice to bits. to those of you who dont, my neice is 7 tommorow, her dad has just recently left the uk to live in the america witb his new girlfriend. The last few months, her mom (my sister) has been going out every weekend, one night and one day, plus she works full time,i babysit it her whenever my sister goes out, and me and my mom look after her at school holidays. My sister was meant to pick my neice up today at 6pm, a 6.40pm she hadnt arrived, so i rang her to see if everything was ok, my neice said to me'DONT YOU WANT ME ANYMORE' I responded of course i do, im just checking your mommy is ok. Her dad as gone and left her, i feel her mom is neglecting her, and i feel this is why she said this today, im so upset. I wish there was more i could do. I get very depressed when she goes home as i miss her so much, but today with her saying that i feel distruaght. Shes only 7!

Aww I'm sorry deb, just keep doing what you're doing. She may not neccessarily see it now, but with time she'll come around. (hugs)

you are intuitive,..does this situation hit an old wound ? I`d say you are doin your best looking after your neice by telling her you love her,..and spending so much time with her,. what else can you do ?

Aww I'm sorry deb, just keep doing what you're doing. She may not neccessarily see it now, but with time she'll come around. (hugs) shes being let down to much, and i cant replace her dad, and her mom at times.

you are intuitive,..does this situation hit an old wound ? I`d say you are doin your best looking after your neice by telling her you love her,..and spending so much time with her,. what else can you do ? all ill say is, im only around for her. i want to do more, but what more can i do??

(hugs) shes being let down to much, and i cant replace her dad, and her mom at times. I understand that, but the situation is what it is pretty much. Can only do what you can. but also shes been suffering with tummy ache and going to the loo a lot. when i spent all day yesterday with her and all night and neally all day today she was fine. i think she might be poorly because shes upset.

hello debbies 1980, i just think its a great thing what you and your mum are doing but i think that at such a young age your neice does not wont to lose you both.

why? what do you think is going to happen if you don`t do more ? she will get depressed and ill. the feeling of not being wanted is horrible. she will NEVER feel not wanted by me, but i think she does off her mom and dad.
