I take this statement back!

Fanta, I wanted to e-mail you a question about the military, but I am too OLD for you to accept my e-mail. Well, I Never!grumble

OK, you know about my neighbor who was recently killed in Iraq. He was post-humously awarded the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star.

But the military had also given Jason's mom a 'flag' about 15" x 15" I am terrible on measurements. I think it was basically red, with a white solid circle in the middle and something else in the middle of the circle.

She had it hanging outside for a little, but then took it down.

Do you have any idea what the flag was for?

I have not talked to her, personal reasons just too sensitive of a subject(some has to do with Brian's death, my oldest son), but she only left it up about a week and took it down.

All the neighbors wondered what it represented, but no one wanted to ask her out of respect for her privacy.

Thanks.

Look at the date on this article-Published June 13, 2007

The rules, unanimously passed in 2006 by nearly 450 Democratic party activists across the country - including Florida - are clear and leave little or no leeway for Dean to waive them: Any state that violates the schedule set by the DNC loses half its delegates to the national nominating convention and any candidate who campaigns in that state will forfeit all delegates from that state.

http://www.sptimes.com/2007/06/13/State/Florida_primary_will_.shtml

If the Florida and Mich Democratic voters feel disenfranchised they have nobody to blame but themselves and their States Party leaders.

Plus,
As the only candidate campaigning in both states she still barely won.

The fact that Hillary was the only Candidate who did not remove her name from the ballots in both States, and her willingness to fork out the funds required to campaign, despite the parties decision to enforce the rules, has to strike someone other than me as a little odd if not an intent by her supporters to take over the party!

Fanta,

Expect a lot of rabid, fanatic Hillary fans to go crazy if Obama wins the nomination! IMO

They will cry 'foul' and go on and on about how poor Hillary has been beat up politically just because she is a woman, how the rules committee sides with Obama just because he's a man, etc..., etc...

It's already started:

The truth is, she wasn't prepared for someone to oppose her, so didn't do the necessary footwork required to cinch up the nomination.

Expect demonstrations, etc..., which the Republicans will love!

Anything the Democrats can do to sabotage each other's campaigns is fine with them!

well she's a little over-persecuted but i think she
has a point that the Dems have screwed it up....AGAIN

noway

the party is fractured and will not easily heal. they
screwed up in handling the MI and FL primary disputes.
they failed to nominate strong experienced leaders
and are reduced to fighting among themselves waiting
for an anticlimatic convention which occurs too late
to be of any help in mending the rift in the party.

meanwhile McCain goes on essentially uncontested.

it's worse than Kerry, much worse than Gore...Egads.
