I know. Jericho was born to a human mother and not all half elfs have elfish characteristics. I think even Jericho thought he was a full human and that is how Rathil has kept it all these years. Although we suspect that it was his elvin blood that gave him all the weird visions he used to get.

Whatever she did last night to instill confusion she used to cover up a second vortex. So her and Finwe went through the real one and I can only imagine that Rathil jumped through the other one by mistake in the confusion. Which is why his weapons did not pass through. |

The only difference is I was born 250 years ago before Rathil even started the guild. He was a much different man back then. He truly was in love *She smiles a bit as she remembers* Jericho on the other hand was 25 years ago and I fear was just a product of lust. His mother abandoned him and Rathil wouldn't turn him away so he raised him from a baby. He is much colder now but he still has a compassionate side. |

It's more like he is giving me an allowance. *Smiles a bit* Isn't it obvious? He was worried about you and he wanted to make sure you were being protected. Although you know how he keeps things so close to his chest. He knew he could keep you close if you joined the guild and stayed in the guildhouse and he didn't have to come out and admit that there was actually another human being he cared about. He doesn't do very well with showing his true feelings. |

Good then I won't have to explain myself. I think I was starting to see that man. He tries to hard to be carefree. But I saw him cry the night Jericho died. I don't think he knows that though. From that night on I knew there was more to him. I really through him off the night I kissed him. (laughs sadly)

*As Railinn is examining the area she is saying a few arcane words and trying to get a read on the energy. All of a sudden a burst of red energy appears out of the air and knocks her unconscious as a red vortex appears. Something she must have said triggered its opening. There is a loud yell that sounds like Rathil from inside the vortex. Almost immediately after it opens Rathil jumps out. He is beaten and bloodied, he if followed shortly by the demon that was following Esane. He extends out his hands and his daggers fly to him and immediately extend into swords.
Now Ishbikel, Let me show you why you do not mess with my family. *A few quick thrusts and twirling motions come from Rathil pushing the demon back. He stabs and Jabs and doesn't even seem to notice anyone else in the Inn. He is completely focused. The demon yells out as it is cut again and again before it can even mount a defense. Just before the demon is about to die Rathil pulls out his gate cube.* You are coming back to Hell with me Ishbikel, If you know what's good for you, you will take me to Esane and you may still live to collect another soul. *Rathil actually leans forward and grabs the bloodied demon by the throat and hits the gate cube. Both him and the demon vanish and the other vortex they just came out of closes. Railinn lays there unconscious* |

Calliope was wrapped up so tightly in the blanket and pillows that Re'Anna had brought to her..She looked like a small ball on the floor by the fireplace...She opens her eyes gazes across the room. She sees Alatariel sleeping on the chair by the table. She has no idea why she fell asleep there. She did not want to leave the room where the baby was taken...
She unwraps herself and straightens herself out. Walks quietly past Alatariel into the kitchen. |
