Water lapping against the shore
Cool breeze comes off the lake
Moon reflecting off the water
Sittin upon my favorite rock
Watchin to moon dance all about
Across the surface as the breeze moves my long hair
Pushing it from my eyes every now and then
As I wait for the loons cry to fill the air
That soft mournful cry as it searches for its mate
Knees drawn up against my chest, arms wrapped tightly around
To ward off the chill of the air, feeling as if I am the only one here
No sign nor sound of another human for miles
Just me and my soft inhalations and exhalations as I breathe
Feeling the serenity come over me, letting the worries of the day drop away
No cell phone, no light, just me and the loon tonight
