Well, we started talking about this recent case in the news (this was after he trashed his two exes... he has two kids with two different women). He stated his stance, eye for an eye, dude should go to prison forever.
I happen to know quite a bit about the case (ex parte stuff). And so I said, well, my position is a bit different. I agree he killed people and should go to prison, but he was a contributing member of society before and might be again. This guy was a civil servant, paid taxes, etc. The money and waste of resources for life in prison aren't really warranted. |

Oh, and he drove an hour to meet me. He was allegedly 5'10".
He was 5'7", possibly 5'8". I wore two inch heels so we would be the same height. This is a recurring problem, these guys who think they are 6' when they are 5'6"..... WTH??? |

So anyhow... dude and I obviously disagree. But he gets MAD. Says I don't know what I'm talking about. He keeps interrupting me and has these opinions, but no facts to back them up. He is a PT cop, and got very angry I knew more about the system than he did.
At one point he said, you want me to go get the ORC and look it up? (Ohio Revised Code, laws listed and definitions). I said, no, because we are talking about how that info goes to the grand jury and the details of the indictment and how that goes to trial. |

So then the issue of IQ's comes up, and he says...
Oh well I took this nursing class and my instructor said IQ tests are bogus and should only be given to kids 'cus that is who they are made for. They don't work on adults. I said, "Ummmmm. You know what I do for a living, right?" He said, "Yeah, so?" |
