There is a giant wolf spider eye-level on the wall behind my monitor. He's pretty much trying to stare me down.

The same way a bee is poisonous..it really hurts when they bite you, but you won't die

I have tried killing them in the past but it's almost impossible. Plus, spiders are beneficial creatures so I try to co-exist..but this is freaky. He is just staring at me.

I had a black widow do that to me once...

She died and I had nightmares for a week. Now I am scared s(*&less of spiders. My kids think it's hilarious.

I once worked for a guy who was about 6'3", 220 pounds and I had to kill a spider in his office for him...

My sister had one in her shoe and it bit her. She swelled up so bad that she looked like that woman from the movie "Dr.Dolittle" that ate the shellfish.

That was about 8 or 9 years ago, and I swear I laugh just as hard today as I did then just thinking about how she looked.

I know, I'm a cruel sister.laugh laugh

Not as easy as you think with a Wolf Spider. they jump, and they are fast.

If it's any consolation, the spider is 10 times more afraid of you, than you are of it.

Wolf spiders have voracious appetites, so they are especially handy to have around as they eat almost twice as much as a regular funnel web spider or other Lycosidae-family spiders.

If ever you get a chance to watch them up close, they're fascinating. They rarely "web hunt", and instead have been known to actually chase down prey....hence their common name, Wolf.
