yes, I have dated someone I wasnt physically attracted to...but I grew to love him as a person...we are still friends.. Ultimately I think this topic ends up going two different ways for men and women... "Generally" Men are turned on (sexually) by physical attributes. Without them he is just with one of his buddies. My Bro's marriage ended for almost the same reason (lack of sex ended up turning into being married to a buddy that he could watch Football with. Although he was attracted to her; until 10 yrs of marriage passed) Women on the other hand are turned on by Romance and other things that we just can't comprehend; so sexually speaking; they can just close their eyes and we're all Brad Pitt in bed

I.e. the what are you doing with her, etc. Sometimes it is possible to get so smitten with a person you see a lot more in them than others do.
