What about matter and anti-matter?

I have heard that when anti-matter meets matter, they destroy each other.

If this is true, what happens and where do they go?

There is no naturally occurring source for anti-matter on this planet. All AM is manufactured by specially constructed devices (Google CERN). M-AM reactions result in a free release of energy, usually in the form of heat, just as any other atomic collision will. Artificially produced M-AM reactions are used in PET (Positron Emission Tomography) devices; the yield is very small though. At this time, it is extremely cost and time prohibitive to produce anti-matter in large quantities.

Thanks

But who or why would anyone want to produce anti-matter in large quantities if it will only destroy us?

Well, the scientific goal is controlled M-AM reactions, primarily for use as a power source. Of course, any energy that is developed for peace will always also be engineered for war; just like atomic fission was for the generation before us.
The ZPE device looks more promising to me.

There are those who claim that ZPE has already been engineered but that it is being kept from the general population.

What about these flashlights that don't need batteries? What kind of energy is that?

I would like to convert my house and property to make its own electricity and operate off the grid. I don't know where to start though.

All of those flashlights that I've seen either have to be shaken or wound up, i.e. chemical reaction or miniature generator.
In the public sector, the most promising fuel-less generator, that I know of, is David Waggoner's (http://www.fuellesspower.com/5_fuelless_enginePhoto.htm); there are people running small farms using units built from his plans. Of course, there are also plenty of conventional solar/wind systems available commercially now. If you have a natural water source, a small hydroelectric generator may be an option, or even one based on hydrogen extraction; check out this supplement system for automobiles: http://www.runyourcaronwater.com/ (don't let Rachel scare you, lol!).

Thanks I will check that out.

Now, when can we meet in Reno? I want to download your brain. Or can I download your brain from here?

Although Reno would be a lot more fun. bigsmile
