I have to be careful with what I say. I work with developmentally disabled clients who might not like pet names. I have gotten in the habit of not using them.

I do it a lot on here but have always with friends, loved ones.. It's when I almost slip at work and call my boss hun that worries me 
When the cop came to bust my daughter's party I called him "hun"..what an idiot I am. |

calling people darlin', doll, hun, babe, baby, etc in real life. I have been using those words so much on here, that I caught myself today trying to call someone that. 
I call people in r/l AND o/l that all the time. Problem comes when you slip and call corporate colleagues or your Vice President that ......

I absolutely hate that! There is one girl in the Ruby Tuesdays here...I could be her mother! And she says things like "you need anything hon?" etc. Don't know why but it rubs me the wrong way when they are way younger than me.
