A lot of folks can't understand how we came to have an oil shortage here in our country. Well, there's a very simple answer. Nobody bothered to check the oil. We just didn't know we were getting low. The reason for that is purely geographical. Our OIL is located in...

We are saving our oil to sell to the Saudi's when they run out!!
We have to drill here at home but at the same time find renewable energy. The answer for now is a combination of solar, wind, and water so the government needs to get out of the way. |

 When i'd walk the beaches in so cal, i made sure i brought mineral oil to get all the tar off my feet I would rather have a clean beach,than gas for my care any day.

the problem isnt the oil reserves...its the refineries...........our govt. hasnt allowed any new facilities or upgrades to old facilities since 1976......

There is no oil shortage. We have plenty. Plenty. The problem is the gas. There isn't as much profit in the gas for the companies. The money is in the oil...the diesel. We have much in reserve. The tanks are full.
We export the oil and diesel out. Buy the gas from outside. We of course blend and sell here, but no profit. They do not care about our usage of gas. What they care about is the profit from the crude. Our refineries are fine. It is the middle east is not going to build anymore. They have us there. Solution? Quit being wasteful. Also; the ones that keep the refineries in tact. Keeping the air clean and whatnot, has made it soooo hard to keep within the standars of global health. Not lucrative in building. Too expensive and hard to keep within the guidlines. Kat |

Cute...it would be funny if it wasn't so TRUE!
We need to drill in our own country & have our own refineries so we don't have to depend on muslims. I'm sick of the mid east & hope it sinks into the ground. We need to supply our own oil first then sell the left overs to our friends & neighbors. Our govt. should start regulating the oil cos. This is nothing more than price gouging & it must stop immediately. |
