Walking

I spend a lot of time walking.
Where I live it is a respite from the fields of the red of Oklahoma.

I did not write for many years, only bits and pieces for school, letters to those I loved.

About a year after my husband passed from leukemia, I started to write, flow, purge and heal.

When I started exposing my heart to y'all here, I was hesitant.I will say today, that I am comfortable to walk these steps with you.

I am comfortable to bare my heart and soul, for I feel there is someone, each time I am privileged to share, that gifts me healing, growth and another petal, layer and fold that exposes myself to me.

I am comfortable for you to see the pink beneath the veil and understand that I am vulnerable, for that connection of knowing feeds my soul.

I like walking with you, and sometimes naked and always to the bare soul.

I too walk naked and yet to this day have not felt the draft that so often comes from judgement of bareing yourself. The warmth and acceptance of Jsh has clothed my soul with a sense of belonging and confidence. Thanks for writing.
