What fond memories do you have of your kids when they were small???
Besides the tea parties and scavenger hunts I used to have with my daughter, I recall her having a blast when we would both put on thick white socks and fill a couple of squirt bottle with mild soapy water then squirt the kitchen floor down and sock skate....this was fun for her and got my kitchen floor clean at same time ![]() ![]() ![]() |

my daughter and i kept a diary together. if either us had something on our minds we would write it in the diary and keep it under the towels in the linen closet. it was a fun way share something special between us.

I remember when my daughter was about 2 years old when she had to do....ummm....number 2....she would hide behind the recliner.
I also remember my son crawling under the Christmas Tree and taking all the bows off of the pretty packages. KIDS! ![]() |

The cycle of keeping them happy and in return being rejuvenated by their smiles and giddiness when picking them up from school.
-my daughter running across the classroom, jumping from 3 feet out into my arms for our daily spinaround! watching them make sense of the world based on what you taught and they saw . . . -my son came to me one day because he heard a noise. "where?" I asked giving him my full undivided attention. He thought about it . . . "at the bye-bye door" |

You got to be careful what kids watch on tv...I used to love the show COPS and would watch it while my daughter played with another child I babysat. I never even thought she watched any of that show...until one day I went upstairs to the play room and saw all perfectly laid out in a row.....6 dollies and stuffed animals laying on their fronts, hogtied with hairbands!!! I was SHOCKED!!! And soooooo very glad I hadn't walked in their with a neighbor or someone! I aksed my daughter what she was doing with the dolls...she started singnin' 'Bad Boys Bad Boys whatcha gonna doooo" LMAO...I had to stop watching Cops

I think the best is when I had started dinner one night, and she wanted Ravioli instead and she kept asking, (I instill the questioning of authority) and I finally said "do not ask me one more time, we are having pork chops, you can have ravioli another night, not one more word about it." and my angel said "Please just one more word" Ya, that's my daughter... |

I took my son to Hooters when he was about 8. After we ate I bought him a tee shirt. All the Hooter girls signed it. A few weeks later we were at Hooters again and I bought him another tee shirt. The waitress asked my son if he wanted the Hootergirls to sign his shirt. He said "No mamm, yall ruined my last shirt like that"

they are still small (twin boys)every minute they are with me is a joy
when I was growing up my grandmother had an apron she always wore. It had a pocket that was a treasure trove. She could find anything there including sweets for me when I asked, or when came back from school. I passed the tradition down to mine by having sweets in my briefcase for my sons, when every day I came home from work they will gather to see what was there in the brief case.It is called memory building and you will see the results few years down the line. ![]() |
