I feel for priests, that have a calling to serve the Lord and yet would like to be married, but as I am not Catholic and do not know all that is involved in their faith, I do not feel qualified to judge.  hes are creator and boss I agree nor is Jesus, We are called to have a relationship with Jesus. He himself is not a religion. |

priests should just tend the flock...not flock them You are so uncouth.   really? ..imagine a priest that is single and considered as a bee-line to god existing among a congregation of god-fearing women and free to date all the single ones or do whatever with them also imagine the husbands of the married women as they wonder why their wife is spending so much time at the church doing volunteer work ..that priest should marry would collapse the system |

Priests are mentioned in the NT as Peter said You are a royal Priesthood.A peculiar people. He was speaking of all who come to Messiah. Where a priesthood came from in it's present form is man made. Even if it wasn't then you would have to go back to the scriptures and see what it says about priests. In the OT it speaks of this. A priest can only take a virgin for a wife or a wife of a deceased priest. No where does it say a priest should not marry.Paul spoke of if you are burning inside it is better for you to marry. Yahshua spoke the eunuchs and how they put Yahweh 1st. Those who knew could understand. Yet we know he said to Put the kingdom 1st and all else would follow. Yes priests can marry. Forcing priest to not marry adds to the book as in Rev.Blessings....Miles

see this is why i dont discuss religion with people, well if you don't want to discuss religion with people then who do you want to discuss it with ..a parrot perhaps? they want to ignore what god says and put in there own opions, god also said to stone unruly children to death ..so do you do that or ignore it with your own opinions god is the one who said go be fruitful and mulitply and populate the earth and thats to everyone and that includes priests, so do the priests get to be fruitful and muliply with 10 years old girls ...or do you believe that since god created man imperfect that man have to make laws needed to control human behavior or should that not apply to priests god is our creator, hes the boss, argue with god, people always ask for our opions here on jsh but if they dont agree then they argue and want you to agree with them, if they dont want the opion then dont ask ..er.. it's called a debate... if you wish to say things that no one will challenge then you should maybe think twice before coming into a debating forum ... |

well i do have to agree with the debating forum part and your corect there. and the part about haveing sex with 10 year old kids, well we all have freedom of choice and if a priest does that he it not right with god, people just think he is. and it says no man can tame his tounge we as humans need to learn self control, if a prist has not got that control then it was his choice and he should step down or he should be thrown out by his peers. but im not catholic but i do know the bible

if a prist has not got that control then it was his choice and he should step down or he should be thrown out by his peers. but im not catholic but i do know the bible it was a whole scandal in the church because of priests not controlling their behavior even accusations that their peers and even the pope were protecting them costing the church billions and causing people to leave the church by the thousands ..so to expect renegage priests to leave the church on their own or to expect their peers to turn them in is only wishful thinking so for the church to seen unbais to it's flock but bias to god it had to envoke rules that preists have to follow in order to give it's congregation peace of mind and a failsafe to keep the renegage priests from causing devasation through-out the congregation which is why the church require priests to take a vow of celibacy and poverty ... |
