In short, yes....I do think that priests should marry. And for the record, the bible says that all who have become born-again, adopted into God's family, are ourselves priests. See Verse 5 and Verse 9:
1 Peter 2:4-10 You are coming to Christ, who is the living cornerstone of God’s temple. He was rejected by people, but he was chosen by God for great honor. 5 And you are living stones that God is building into his spiritual temple. What’s more, you are his holy priests. Through the mediation of Jesus Christ, you offer spiritual sacrifices that please God. 6 As the Scriptures say, “I am placing a cornerstone in Jerusalem, chosen for great honor, and anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.”[c] 7 Yes, you who trust him recognize the honor God has given him. But for those who reject him, “The stone that the builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.”[d] 8 And, “He is the stone that makes people stumble, the rock that makes them fall.”[e] They stumble because they do not obey God’s word, and so they meet the fate that was planned for them. 9 But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests,a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. 10 “Once you had no identity as a people; now you are God’s people. Once you received no mercy; now you have received God’s mercy.”[g] |

I feel for priests, that have a calling to serve the Lord and yet would like to be married, but as I am not Catholic and do not know all that is involved in their faith, I do not feel qualified to judge. |

celibacy is not the christian god's law, celibacy is an outcropping of eclesiastical catholocism, which in the beginning of christianity did not exsist, only when man became the spokesman for god/jesus.paul/etc, did celibacy become an article of priesthood behavior and vows.

I believe they should. God created marriage. Now not that he has called everyone to marraige but I don't think he created all these preists to live a celebate life. We have a longing to be with the opposite sex. He created it so that we have someone to cling to. But I do admit i am not catholic and I don't understand why the priest believe they were called to alone. I'm sure it has something to do with the apostles leaving thier families and following Jesus. But that is my take.

He himself is not a religion. |

No. But then I don't think anyone should get married.
If I were catholic and went to confession to a married priest, I would worry that he tells his wife everything and that his wife is a big gossip. JB |

I absolutely believe that priests should be allowed to get married.

priests should just tend the flock...not flock them You are so uncouth. really? ..imagine a priest that is single and considered as a bee-line to god existing among a congregation of god-fearing women and free to date all the single ones or do whatever with them also imagine the husbands of the married women as they wonder why their wife is spending so much time at the church doing volunteer work ..that priest should marry would collapse the system |
