How are blessings supposed to abound?
When I’m surrounded by pain?
It seems I ask for sunshine
And only get rain.

The trials You put me through
How long will this I have to do?
I know I sin, and I fall
Is this punishment for it all?

When will all this be laid to rest?
And when,if ever will I be blessed?
How long will this pain last in my chest?

How long will this You put me through?
The answer I am asking from You
You say to ask and receive,
Well I’m asking for my pain to be relieved
However You do this is up to You
Thank You in for what You are about to do.
