we need something in this nature because most of us have more in common than the people in society do.those in society judge us and look at us as nobodys.most of them are self righteous and coceited.people like us are in recovery to help ourselves be back to who we use to be and gain better spiritualism.id like to here honest opinions on this subjest,i mean it gets more intense. addicts and alcoholics should be open to each other for relationships if they want to.

its not about being attics together,its just these people know and understand what its like to be a recovering attic or alcoholic and not be prejudged by others in society.its hard to be a former attic etc and find a mate afterward..........

How is it hard? If people judge me because of a choice I made in my past, sucks for them...not my problem.

I agree people with common lifestyles should have there own
place to get together and get to know each other.....

Aren't there already sites like that? A friend told me she belonged to Sober Circle, or something like that. Went on and on about how great it was and all of the resources it had...

it is hard because alot of the meetings i go to ,they dont glorify it as a dating service.your not there to find a relationship.

I am not in recovery. The fact that you feel that people not in recovery are self-righteous and conceited is sad and judgemental. People in recovery are like that too. They are everywhere.

There are other sites that fulfill those needs. Also, AA and NA have social functions.
