I will do it on my own, and permit any sort of education supplements the school will provide. Never too much information. I live in Ohio, for goodness sake, how much can they provide in a red state?
I think it is important to have this with his peers. I had so much sex education it was ridiculous. I met people with HIV, I put condoms on bananas, I saw videos of abortions, and more. I also had a lot of, ummm.. well anyhow. I'm glad I was knowledgeable, as I do believe it prevented a lot of things that could've happened. |

Schools are offering sexual education classes, how many of you are for educating/reinforcing sexual education at schools? How many prefer to do it themselves??? Just had to sign/decline my child for that ... I think it's a parents job. Especially some of the stuff they're teaching now that I disagree with. |

Hello Fran I have a very broad mind about this and I know schools are not doing anything to harm them . I also know when times come they would be prepared enough when going out with girl etc to remind them if they have got their condoms (like I do the packed Lunches now) without feeling embarrassed. I know that may shock some but the only way If I am to keep them disease free in this ever increasing world of STD and VDs. The twins are 7 at the moment. No doubt the parenting classes that I attend will discuss those issues at the appropriate time.I know this will shock the mother who sweeps all that under the carpet. I don't agree with all the BS about homosexuality being a gene yada yada .. either way I think they shove it down the kids & altho I don't want my kids being intolerant I don't agree with saying you should pick whatever you like. IMHO And no, I don't wanna get into it with anyone on here .. LMAO So if you disagree, let's choose to agree to disagree. |
