My virus protection just died on me. New it was going to happen sooner
or later was just hoping for later rather then sooner...lol. But anyway
I need to know if anybody has a good one that is worth downloading as I
can't get out to buy one till Monday.

you can download McAfee or Norton direct from the internet if you have a
credit card, no need to go out and buy a hard copy and install it. It
can all be done from the comfort of your chair.

ok Wal-Mart is open 24/7 you can get McAfee or Norton there, also Target
is open till 10PM and they carry it. It's best not to wait a couple
days without virus protection and a firewall. If you are running
windows they have virus protection and firewalls for the latest versions
like XP. It is free, and you can download it direct too.

Sorry Whisper, but you did not mention previously which one you were
using that had died on you. The next best thing that I can suggest is to
go to Cnet.com and they do a lot of program reviews on various programs,
and there should be a link there to anti-virus downloads from their main
page. They will tell you which ones are free or trial period types, and
will usually have a link to where you can download them. Good luck from
there.

If you have AVG (which I've never heard of - but here in PR we mostly
use Norton or McaFee), do they have an internet site. Maybe you need the
update it.... Just a thought.

mine is automatically updated everyday izzy, all you have to do is
restart your computer for the updates to take effect.

I don't know slow. It would tell me that it was updating but would not
really update then it would be yelling at me telling me that it was out
dated. But it would not let me fix it.

AVG is not good at least their free version the best to use are is a
not so well known anti virus called Kaspersky very good protection but
it's not free unless you can find a key for it through limewire or
cracksearcher

i had that same trouble, when it tells you it is outdated you need to
resart it. i've had to restart mine twice for it to work.otherwise
remove it from your computer and go back in and download it.
