Seemingly tenuous
are the ties that bind … Golden gossamer threads wound Tightly around hearts and minds wanting so badly To share To care To become Enmeshed And pulled together out of the solitary confinement we once inhabited so seemingly contented … … and accepting … of our singular existence but in reality merely insitutionalized by our loneliness … Thin strands with the potential strength of Titanium threatened in their new found fragile state by outside Forces running their Courses with no thought or care for the ravages and Damages left lingering In their Deadly wake … Burgeoning Sweet seedlings potentially Annihilated by winds Unabated in their appetite for destruction … But as with a mighty oak often battered and shattered by a direct hit from gale Forces a willow slight and thin will bend with the wind Surviving even the most Monstrous of blows …. Our ties together are sparse and lean and it remains to be seen if they are forged in steel or mere whispers of thread…. When the storm is over and the winds have died down Will we be left standing together or lay in tattered remnants upon the ground….? |
