I've had quite an experience but it wasn't a house but a high school building. Saw a silhouette of woman standing right beside the flag pole. and at 4am, when everyone got up (my classmates I mean) we went straight to the loo. I had the last cubicle and was about to open it until a hand came out and held the door. bahh. I thought there was someone inside only to realize, it was vacant.

I would and I have. They won't bother you if you don't bother them. Unless of course they are really angry ghosts, then might be a problem. Basically, just pretend they aren't there and it's all good.
