I guess it might be my age, but I don't have a big desire to actually be with a man..i know i am on here... but alot of women i know search and search for someone to be with, even at my age, i don't care, i am so happy being single, too darn happy, and i don't worry about being alone,like alot of women i know, is something wrong with me? and do others feel this way..??

NOt one thing wrong with you ...you know your own mind and heart..and not all of us are here looking...IF its meant to be it will happen...I get all these views but no one interested so its not like I have to make it happen either..lol..But either way, I am happy..I just like to write and laugh and have a good time.

some basic psychological i learned a while back, "we like what we are used to", if we have always been with someone we tend to want to keep that the same, if we have been single more than we tend to like to be single. nothing wrong with it as long as you are happy. obviously, some other factors come into play, but if you have been single for a while, this may be the reason.

those are stages in life. I guess.

Well I have been married twice, 1st one, just a big mistake, second for love, but oh boy, there was a price, But now I am very very happy, and I would like a guy from time to time,but not all the time..

i'm use to being single,,,,,but it does get tiresome,,,,,but not sure i would know how to act if i had a real date,,,,,,,,probley haft to come on line to my jsh family for advise

Well, although I do have a desire to be with a man, I'm not looking real hard. I've come to the conclusion that if it's going to happen, it will happen when it's time. Until then, I will enjoy being single and will take advantage of every thing it has to offer.

A lot of my friends feel as you do but I recently discovered that I think I want someone in my life because someone has always been there and I was happy. Only been single 4 yrs of my adult life..Maybe its become a habit? Seriously I do enjoy having a man in my life...

I wouldn't call it a habit. Once you've been with someone for so many years you get used to taking care of them and being there for them. And once it's taken away, it's very hard to get used to.

My neighbor was married to her husband for 54 year. I used to watch her fuss over him all the time, and sometimes I'd think, "Gee, that poor man. She doesn't let him do anything for himself." It wasn't until he passed that I realized that she was doing it because it was something that she was so used to doing for so many years, that it just became natural. And when he passed away, she was so lost without him, she didn't know what to do with herself. I felt so bad for her.
