I'm in the sad stage...i hope the anger stage comes quick and furious so I can move on.....and until then....i'm taking myself to DQ today.

Just think... If they were a true friend, they would be calling you up and asking to make things right. Yeah...that's the embaressing part- when we argue...I never get "that call"....I end up doing the dialing and hope he turns on his phone which usually takes over a week. If he weren't my main friend I think it might be easier to just let it go? Now think about that!! If he doesn't call you and he waits for you to call him how much of a friend is he? I mean he could be your main friend but how does he feel about you? Does he feel that you are his main friend? Is doesn't seem so or he would have called you and tried to make things right. True friends just do not ignore their friends with silence like that, at least for that long! It's hard but you need to move on and not let it get you down. Being on this site can help. If it wasn't for this site I would have gone nuts long ago. Well, I am nuts but that is another story!

You're right obviously....patterns are hard to break....even my pattern of doing the calling and the waiting. I've done this for so long that even though I need to break free, it's still difficult.

It's maddening to leave messages that never get returned. I know very well how you feel. And it's very hard to get over it. You've already gotten some really good advice. Talk to other people, do something nice for somebody, just because, do something you've always wanted to try but always had excuses not to do. Good luck to you
