TOOTIE,MY GRAND DAUGHTER GOT AN IM FROM A FELLOW BY THE NAME OF MICHAEL
AND HE CLAIMED HE WAS FROM THE STATES BUT IN UK AND HAD LOST HIS PARENTS
A FEW YEARS BEFORE THEN A MONTH LATER LOST HIS WIFE TO A FATAL CAR
ACCIDENT.HE HAD A 12 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER WHOM HE SUPPORTED AND WAS TRYING
TO GET BACK TO THE STATES AND HAD TO PAY SOME SORT OF A FEE. SHE PLAYED
ALONG WITH HIM FOR A BIT TO GET ALL THE INFO SHE COULD IN ORDER TO TURN
HIM INTO AUTHORITIES.HE TOLD HER THAT SHE NEEDED TO GET A BANK ACCOUNT
AND HE HAD A CLIENT IN THE STATES THAT WOULD SEND HER A MONEY ORDER FOR
X AMOUNT OF DOLLARS AND SHE WAS TO DEPOSIT IT THEN SEND HIM A MONEY
GRAM.SHE GOT WHAT SHE NEEDED(ALL FALSE INFO OF COURSE) AND SAID SHED DO
IT! WE CALLED THE AUTHORITIES WHOM DIRECTED US TO ROMANCESCAMS.COM! WELL
WELL,GUESS WHO WAS THERE? YES! MICHAEL.HE WAS FROM NIGERIA AND A SCAM
WITH MANY MANY PICTURES.A FEW DAYS LATER,WE WERE WATCHING DR PHIL(YES I
SAID IT)AND LOW AND BEHOLD THERE HE WAS ON THE SCREEN! BIGGGGGGGGGG
SCREEN!!! LOL THE SAME PICTURE HED SENT MY GRAND DAUGHTER BUT A
DIFFERENT NAME.I ABOUT PEED MY PANTS!HE HAD SCAMMED A LONELY WOMAN FOR
THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS THEN LEFT HER.SHE WAS DEVASTATED AND IN SHOCK.SHE
COULDNT BELEIVE WHAT HAD HAPPENED TO HER.WHAT THESE PEOPLE DO(MALE AND
FEMALE) IS GO TO THIS ONE PARTICULAR SITE,I DONT REMEMBER THE NAME OF
IT,STEAL PICTURES OF MALE AND FEMALE MODELS THEN USE THEM TO SCAM LONELY
LOST DESPERATE WOMEN.THANK GOD YOU WERE SMART ENOUGH TO LET HIM WALK ON
BY! THE THING I AM HAVING A PROBLEM WITH IS,HOW CAN ANYONE IN THE RIGHT
MIND NOT KNOW ITS A SCAM??? IS ANYONE THAT DESPERATE TO FIND A

Hi everyone, I'm so sorry that happened to you . I have had simialr
e-mails and Im's myself... but they were quicker with wanting the
money. They didn't get from me either and it was a lot less than he
asked you for. One wonders how they sleep at night . And I hope they all
get what they deserve. You are doing a great service by telling about
this horrible scam

I went through this a few years ago with a Russian woman. If you do
your research, you can catch a break most times. Run their name through
a YAHOO search. There are plenty of sites out there that supply a
blacklist. Most scammers are gonna be on it. Good luck to you all
fending them off.

NIGERIANS ARE THE GREATEST SCAMMERS. BEWARE OF NIGERIANS, THEY POST FAKE
PICTURES, TRY EVERY LEVEL TO ATTRACT. ONE AMERICAN WENT TO NIGERIA AND
HE WAS KILLED. NIGERIA IS A COUNTRY WHICH SCAMS LOTTERY, OIL SCAM,
LOOKING FOR KIN AND DATING.
ANY ONE ASKING MONEY......BEWARE ITS A TOTAL SCAM.

oh yeah they are all to real there was a lady near where i live that got
all caught up with this dude sent him a cell phone which she wa paying
the minutes for and thousands of dollors can't remember the exact amout
but alot and then found out that he had been scamming her all along she
is in debt thousands and was told by the law they could not do anthing
to the guy even if they caught him because he didn't force her to do it
it is messed up but it does happen so you can't be to careful about
things

Oh my God, you mean all those sons of princes that are going to pay me
25% of multi millions just for leting them use my bank account to get
their money out of Nigeria are all phony. And here I thought I was
going to be rich any day now. Like everybody before me has said,
anything coming out of any African country is a scam. I even got one one
day that was supposedly from Shell Oil Co, took me to a weg page that
looked like Shell Oil's page. They wanted me to invest in a new
chemical that they were bringing on the market, it sounded real good but
Shell Oil don't solicit investors via spam on the internet. It just so
happened I had two spams from the aforementioned sons of princes, I
forwarded their mails to the fake Shell Oil deal, told them I was not
interested but these two guys might be. Always remember IF IT SOUNDS
TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT IS!!!!

I also get at least 4 or 5 hits a day from young females on another
site. One give away is their poor command of the English Language even
though they were supposedly went to school and college in the US. My ego
would like to think that they are interested in my body, but my mind
tells me they are more interested in my bank account. While I may be
certifiably crazy, I didn't get this old by being incredibly stupid.
It's a scarey world out there, ya all be careful.

One more thing everyone, this peice of poop is going so far as to call
my cell phone, but won't leave a message. Now I suppose I'll have to
change the number. I have blocked him from IM and e-mail, but he sure
is perssistant. I feel sorry for the women out there that are so hung
up on a romance like this that they are willing to pay anything in the
name of Love. I did pressure him for information and he gave me all the
information where to send the money. I kept telling him that any
business man worth anything can get a line of credit from any bank in
the world, but not this one, he had an excuse for every suggestion on
how he could raise his OWN money!

They did a show about this very topic on one of the news
programs....(Dateline or 60 minutes).....and showed the various scams.
The foreign scammers throw parties and produce songs in ridicule of the
naive American victims. They bash us for being bleeding-hearts, fools,
etc. It is disgusting. I was getting 3-4 emails from them a day for a
few months last year. I always deleted them after reporting their sob
stories.
