Are you the type of person that takes a product from the back row or do you just take it from the front?

I was watching a guy today who was only interested in the one on the bottom in the back row. So he moved all the other jars just to get to that one. Which type of person are you?

Is the identical product stacked in the back of a store display better?

Speaking from where I work, usually if it is in the back it is "fresher"...speaking from experience...there is no difference.

I'll usually get the 2nd item, the one right behind the front. For some reason, it feels like the 1st one up front has been used or handled too much, and therefore is not what you really want to pay for. The second one seems so much more... new and pure.

Again, trust me on this one...there is no difference.

If it's a dairy product, yes. It's better however, to become literate and look at the "sell by" codes.

Good advice. I always grab from the back with milk I can't understand who would buy milk that wasn't fresher. noway

Ahhh! But if the store knows everyone goes to the back thinking the freshest is there would they not put the older ones there!

If my assignment was to restock the shelves would I care or would I just put them on there as fast as possible?

Easier inventory count if older is upfront.
