of a particular thread come from those who keep checking their own thread. It would be an improvement I think if we knew how many different members viewed a thread. I wonder who is most vain?

Every time you go into your own thread from the main page (to view) it counts a view. To check for a new post you have to enter the thread is all I'm trying to say - so the number of views doesn't reflect the number of different members viewing that thread.
