So if someone says "Hey do you like my tie?" And your response is "No, I do not like your tie, it is red, and I don't like red" Is that negative? that is called honesty

What if someone said "why can't I get a date" and SOMEONE said "you come off as arrogant" is that negative? Once again honest, and like I said if it becomes the only response from "someone" regardless of the person's attempt to change it becomes negative.

I have had many moments of being the poster boy for negative thoughts. I always find an excuse to justify my behavior, then when I truly go introspective I have no choice but to see it for what it is. Nothing justifies the way I behave sometimes (think spoiled three year old here) but until I level my life out I see no end to my idiotic outbursts. I am working on more contentment in my life, it should level my behavior out some. In short, you need look no further than me. I am violent when pushed, not too long ago almost broke my friends arm for sneaking up behind me at a bar and put his hand on my shoulder. I am ignorant when challenged, see some of my outbursts on the forums. I am defiant when confronted (even though I truly have to believe in a position to defend it) and I predisposed to be judgemental The fact that you know the problem makes you a better person

differences and opinions are viewed as negative by receiver. haha, you know where I'm going with this... not fair... That is another excellent point too! Negative could be totally in the way we perceive things! Often people take me as negative while in my head, I'm thinking positive. Sometimes, I see good things coming out of hard times. So, I don't initially offer sympathy right off, but encouragement or tough love in hopes that they make it through. Unfortunately, not everyone agrees with this and is quick to call me a negative thinker. I say independent thinker though. I like to look at the whole forest full of beautiful trees, instead of focusing on one or two that might be rotting amongst the rest.

Judging is not for me so I take my experiences and my gut feel and thank God I am doing OK though I may be wrong at times Don't we all make mistakes?

good thread makes u think...... cause if one is in discussion and they are finding the worst in every situation... and the other is negative twords them ..so they can look at things being possitive is that a bad thing? cause to the negetive person in the begining.... they may see the possitive person as being negative
