Being on dating sites, and moderating forums for years, this question always comes up, no matter which site you are on, they are all basically the same. (in regards to meeting people) The thing with internet dating is usually distance, so you find someone you like....but they are miles and miles away. Enter part two: a large percentage of people who are on a dating site, have kids, most folks do not want to uproot them from their surroundings. Another scenario is like my situation....i'm 47, my mom is in her seventies and not in the greatest of health, so theres no way i could leave this area. Many of us are in that same boat. Also, forum posters are only a small percentage of members here, while reading forum posts gives you a lot more insight to a person, the pool to draw from is considerably less if you count the overall membership of the site, however, you have to admit making friends with people and interacting with them is a great deal of fun. We have new people joining everyday, My advice is to keep searching, maybe widen your search criteria a bit, best of luck to you, Mark

I have met a nice lady here, but the distance deal was tooo great, I guess. I have also made some great friendships that i hope will maintain the test of time. I have NO regrets about ever joining this site! Here's to all of you!!

this site is my home away from home these ppl are my second family dating, flirting, friends who care what the site is SUPPOSED to be for i only care for what the site IS and that is AMAZING

I have heard from a couple of other states that they have the same problem! Is it just that people are allergic to anyone from their own state?

From my standpoint it is definitely distance, even w/in my own state. Combine that with the gas prices and oy-vey!!!!
