Did you know a bell on the front door of your home is supposed to ward off evil spirits? Hence, the "Doorbell". To bad it doesn't work on evil bill collectors! |

The saying "For Whom The Bell Tolls" comes from a small village, not sure maybe Ireland. After dark if the church bell rang someone would die before the sun rose in the morning. Everyone in the town would try to be indoors before dark so they would not hear the bell ring.

Sprinkling salt all around your house will keep the evil spirits out. It also works for fleas.
Just in case your pets ever bring them inside, it might be worth a try!!! |

Does anybody have any? Do you believe in them and follow them? Like, leaving a cabinet open invites strangers in your home, then there is the black cat thing, and the ladder thing. What do you got? Well, if leaving a cabinet open is bad luck, I'm in serious trouble. I have a serious habit of leaving them open. It's like that kitchen scene from the "Sixth Sense" movie. The mom leaves the kitchen and comes back and all the cabinets are open. That's my kitchen on a daily basis, lol. I guess the only superstition I have is not to do something out of spite because it will come back on you. I learned from experience and now I try my best not to be spiteful. |
