To the best friend I’ve ever known
One who’s love through the years has grown
You have always been the one to give.
So I could have the life I now live
All of life’s lessons you have taught me.
Some of them I learned over a bended knee
But even in these times it was out of love
And it was my best interest you were thinking of
You have been there with me every step of the way
And you have made me into the man I am today
Mom, thank you for teaching me all of life’s ways.
