Understandably... Are you going to elaborate on what happened, or did I miss it, the situation you were in that you witnessed someone passing? Maybe it will help you to get it out of your head via the keyboard.... It sounds like it has profoundly effected you.

dramatic??? more like shock.... when in shock.... u may be able to speak of what happened.. but u may not be able to even answer a simple question of ... "are u ok"" again no disrespect EtherealEmbers.... I was in his shoes..a few months ago... the only good part was the 77 yr old man I take care of 24/7.... Lived... I posted here... but I was a wreck over the situation... I willl answer for him.. In time..he will be ok.. but the situation is a life changing situation that will stay with him for ever... My best to the poster.. My best to u EtherealEmbers...

The guy had a heart attack and that was it. He was gone. I've never seen anyone die before. It blew my mind.

it sucks watching people die...i work in an assited living/nursing home and we have people pass away pretty often..i hate to say it but eventually you get used to it...im very sorry that you had to see that though it is never fun

We were by my mom's side when she passed last year in a nursing home. A young woman came to me and hugged me on our way out....she was a nurses aide there that had taken care of and befriended my mom..I know my mom trusted her. That meant so much to us.I think it takes a remarkable person to do what you do.
