As I walk this house today,
I think my love is far away.
I see the things she left behind,
I know she is, like in mind.

As I walk this house today,
I see the love is here to stay.
The scent she left is in this house,
I find more stuff from this mouse.

As I walk this house today,
I feel her love from far away.
I never think I hear her calls,
I hear her voice within these walls.

As I walk this house today,
I think of family and the day.
When the love we two have found,
Share a family, to us it’s bound

As I walk this house today,
My mind does travel miles away.
I feel them down, deep inside,
Things we share, we do not hide.

As I walk this house today,
I look around in simple dismay.
In this house, with this friend,
Share this life, until the end.

Often feelings of growing old,
Hearing children, sounds of gold.
Pitter-patter those little feet,
Smiles bright, what can we eat.

Daddy please, loan me the car,
I’ll be back, I won’t go far.
Mommy please help me dress,
Nothing to wear, my hairs a mess.

These are dreams within my mind,
I share with friends that are so kind.
When this happens I’ll be proud,
Kids are grown; I’m on a cloud.

If you wish to see me then,
Across my face will be a grin.
It’s a smile that I hold near,
I give to those, who are so dear.
