Yes I am sure that they posted a notice for you and it would have mentioned legal and court fees. I have never been evicted but I have been through the eviction process. I used to manage some property.

Its pretty messed up IMO. I told them i was moving out this weekend cause i can't afford rent anymore. So now they are going to sue me for money i don't have? That makes no sense at all grumble

You signed a lease or a rental agreement that obligates you to a certain amount of money every month. That is their job and they have to make money too. Once they sue you for the money, they can then put a lien on your wage.ohwell

OMG thats unreal! But my lease is up for the year so maybe i can say "hey i'm leaving bye" byt prolly not. I dunno what to do at this point. I'm moving out to try and get myself back together but this place is just raping my ass the whole way thru. grumble

You would have to give the specified move out notice (usually 30 days) or you will be obligated to pay for that time. Unless they rent it out before that time is up.
