Right Fran, I know what you mean. But there is at least one person I see regularly who Always quotes right back even if they are only the second person on a thread.

Hi there Betty Hello I love you guys you make my day and night |

I think what you just did Tanya was good. You were addressing something someone said several hits above you so in order for her to know that, you quoted her. Just MHO

this is a public forum, the only one that sets the rules here is the owner(s). |

tell the truth, be decent. it's not necessary to answer every comment .. these forums are also a great place for people to learn about behavioural mechanisms and to see patterns and look at memes...a place to hopefully stimulate the intellect and inspire and attract....
the decorum should be light hearted unless it's your own thread in poetry...where creative license should have free reign, i am somewhat notorious for being bl8ant. lol it's actually just an occupational hazzard that has assisted me profoundly in the field... i don't mean to insult but many take me that way...i figure they just don't like hearing anything contrary to their feeling....but sometimes those opinions are the most important to pay attention to. |

well, I have to get ready for work... I would love for you all to keep posting in here. Play off of stuff that people already mentioned and if you think so something new, please post it.

i view threads as a conversation not property...unless it is a song or creative writing. so there is no need to respond to others anymore than if you are participating in a conversation with a group of oh say 10, 20 or 100 people...
leave the room - go for a walk - come back later and you can actually read and replay the course of the hijacking...i mean discussion. if there is no feedback whatsoever things tend to peter out fast. on the other hand if every comment gets a response then it can get kind of - obsessive looking - even CrEePy the results of extensive research show the ideal ratio of original posters comments to readers comments is 0.0723 with a standard deviation of .1 |

It depends on what the thread is about. To me a thread is an ongoing conversation amongst friends. If it is serious and the person wants help, make sure what you say is helpful or don't say anything. If it is humorous, have fun with it, we are all supposed to be friends. I don't think you have to acknowledge every comment, but it sure helps if you thank the ones that helped you.
