Sweetness
Just a span of breathing, A few years of time, Sweetness was my Momma, She gave to me, just mine. No one else, I allowed, To see what she had given. Would they understand, And see the heart she lived in? She let me see her tender, How she could love so strong. I saw how ugly faded, Confessing she was wrong. I've learned, I do not wish to judge, Expending hatred's fears. The good and right she tried to live, I'm washed by all those tears. I would just like to gift, Those in my heart's reach, A bit of Momma's sweetness, And place it on your cheek. Raine Les 5/7/2008 |
