Here I sit basking in the warmth of the sun through the window
So bright as it reflects off the snow
Glittering and shimmering
Watching the kids and dog romp and play
Sippin my coffee slowly
Steam rising from it as it tickles my nose
Bob Marley playin in the background
Cat stretched languidly across my lap
Tap tap at the window tap tap
Frantic motions
Gesturing
Pointing at the door
I rise and walk to the door
Opening it
Katie asking for a scarf , carrot and hat
Gathering the desired objects
Handing over my witch hat
Going back to the chair
I watch again as they build a snow witch
Tap tap at the window again
Frantic motions
Gesturing towards the door once more
A wand she cries out we need a wand
Can we have yours she asks
I chuckle and say oh no no
Look around my gaze falling upon a wooden spoon
Here make her a Kitchen witch
Katie laughs and takes the spoon
Running through the snow her laughter ringing out
I smile with joy
Watching them play and romp
