I have been with someone for the physical attraction before. Nothing in common with him at all, except great sex-physical attraction. Well maybe I should not have said that, he did love the kids, but not me, nor did I love him. He lived with us for almost 4 years, and engaged to him for almost a year, and the relationship turned emotionally abusive towards me, but all I kept saying is, he loves the kids, and that was good enough for me. I was terribly terribly unhappy, and my kids could feel that, so finally one day I got the strength to let his ass go, and never looked back. So I think that a relationship needs to be on both levels for it to last, physical and emotional. Saw him at Christmas this past year while out shopping, and damn he was still fine and started thinking about....., but he is still an ass.

So does that mean that hottie JistMe is single again too? What's up with that?

It is nice to have both. Just someone that is cute to me, and that I have some chemistry with. I love it when they are really easy to become friends with. Hopefully, That will come along again soon.

To me attraction isn't just about physical or emotional. It's a combination of the physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual attributes that make you connect with said person.

I've met women who are physically a 9 or 10, but when they open their mouth the number drops to a 4 or 5. If a girl wants to be my girlfriend, then it takes more than a pretty face. Yes physical looks will get you noticed more and get your foot in the door, but it's the overall package that makes me think this woman is ideal.

Gotta have both. Sometimes an initial Physical attraction can turn into an emotional attraction, and sometimes it works the other way around. One without the other wouldn't do it for me

if you become attached enough emotionally then sometimes the physical will follow. likewise, if you are attracted enough physically then sometimes the emotional will eventually happen.

there are loves which are primarily emotional but there are no loves that are primarily physical - such physical relationships are pretty much all animal (not that there is anything wrong with that). but love is emotional - the whole being is required.

Physically healthy (BMI healthy, if you know what I mean), and intellectually stimulating would be a really good start, here. A little makeup can sometimes mask a really ugly person, or enhance a natural beauty, but once the mouth opens and words come out, the real beauty, if there is any, outshines the makeup.
