Topic: Where I fit in | |

Where I fit in is in my world
A simple world at that- I dont need fancy trinkets Or to have my wallet fat. I dont need a huge ol house too big for me to clean Or a fancy swimming hole (Not trying to be mean)- All I need is my self respect Which I fight for everyday WHen I have to bite my tongue Over things that people say Dont have to answer for those folks or anything they do- No keeping up with the Jones' Or all that they go thru. I like my simple little life On my back porch each night To see the stars my father gave To twinkle their gentle light Im happy with my comfy home Its safe and clean and warm and anyone is welcome here Seeking shelter from a storm Im only a country girl at heart Its all that I can be- I know where to go to fit in And Im comfortable with me. |
