Today I’ll do nothing
but enjoy the sweet breeze,
sway on the porch swing
while hugging my knees.

I’ll inhale the lilac
that hangs in the air
and weave crowns of clover
to wear in my hair.

Then lay my head down
on a pillow of grass
and stare into the sun
till I sneeze or I laugh.

I’ll trace, with my finger,
each cloud in the sky
and give name to their shapes
as they gently float by.

I'll run down to the creek
just to kick off my shoes
wade in crystal cool water
till my toes all turn blue.

I’ll skip home barefoot
on the old cobbled road
it’s smooth surface so warm
for it's sun heated stones.

You might think me silly,
sentimental or lazy,
but I revisit the simple life
when mine seems too crazy.

I live this poem every day.

It is a very beautiful poem!

Except the barefoot part, I wear flip flops.
