Yes.... I have quite a bit recently. I decided that if the silent treatment was what I got I would make it permanent silence. I'm not into playing games and if you need more than a few hours to calm down I would tend to think you have an anger management problem.

Yeah.... How can somebody get so angry over a comment anyhow? Really. It's not as though I swear or anything. Just asking people to do what they say they are going to do, and then actually do it. Not just say they will do it. Thats all...

Too much to ask? Worthy of the silent treatment?

I think it is VERY controlling if you need to tell your SO you can't talk to them for "a while", especially in the beginning of a relationship. It sorta precludes the whole communication and arguing versus discourse and disagreeing adaptation thing.

yes, my late husband did that once. I wrote him a letter,
went out for the day. He never did that again.

I've never gotten the silent treatment yet, but it sure doesn't sound too appealing. I think I'd rather someone get it out even if it's not very pleasant. I'll get over it and it'll be done.

 After I started ignoring him he started talking to me again and acted like it never happened.
