A Compliment?

I know people see what they see in there eyes and i have a few friends on here and once in a while they will give a compliment.It does give me a smile and being on here it's easy to except because i'm not on the phone with them or seeing them face to face. But when i am face to face or on the phone, it feels kinda strange and ill be like, okay thinking to myself and saying thank you as i do say to them. What i was going to say people that send you a email that you never met giving you a compliment.


How would you take a compliment from someone you never met saying that being on this site and seeing all the people they have seen or anyware els that you were the most attractive person to them that they seen in a while?

I would be flattered, though I may not believe it at first, depending on how long I knew them and what they told me previously about people they've met.

I do but this is the net and i laughed at first because i'm no ware near what they said. I'm just me...

same here..i've given lots of compliments to people on here and they never email back saying Thank U at least but its ok..i really dont expect anything in return

i'd take it as someone saw something either in my looks or in what i've said in my profile that they found unique and appreciated ..

which is always nice even if you have never met them

actually got an email from someone ive never talked to because my myspace profile was featured on main page today and my eyes got his attention

Ataraxia...I fail to see the difference in emotion based on a comment, online it is different because I am allowed time to think of a response...terrible in real life though.

also , if you pay me one face to face. i'd probably be speechless and turn bright red

I always say thank you and it depends on what there saying how ill react to it. having friends giving a compliment is one thing, but somone you never met is somthing different and i tend to think, ok what do you want

But looking at it and who it came from. I feel they were just being nice.

Now in regard to the topic... it is easy to take comments any way you like, because people can be sarcastic without appearing to be... however, since this is a dating/friendship site, I would take comments at face value, say thank you, and see what happens!

No sarcasm meant...or I'd laugh instead of giving a flower...I'm saying I'd like it, but it's not happened yet. Sorry if I'm not clear...still new at this.

There are what you call a compliment and then there are what you know is over done

Insincere compliments are the worst. Its easy to find attributes about someone you like.
